Green County Sheriff

MONROE — Steven A. Steiner, 28, Browntown, was flown via Med Flight to the UW Hospital for injuries sustained from a single-motorcycle crash at 12:35 p.m. May 1 in the W9500 block of County MM, Town of Cadiz. He was westbound when he failed to negotiate a curve, exited the roadway entering the ditch and overturned. The motorcycle sustained severe damage. It was towed. He was not wearing a helmet. He was cited for second-offense operating under the influence. Green County EMS and Browntown Fire Department assisted. 

On May 2: 

●  Elizabeth E. Threewitt, 19, Monroe, was transported by Green County EMS to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash at 2:10 p.m. in the N4200 block of Wis. 69, Town of Monroe. She was northbound when she exited the roadway and hit a guard rail. He vehicle sustained disabling damage with airbag deployment. It was towed. 

●  Aron R. L. Thompson, 30, Monticello, was transported by Green County EMS to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries sustained in a motorcycle vs. deer crash at 8:30 p.m. in the W6800 block of County C, Town of Washington. He was eastbound when a deer entered the roadway and collided with his motorcycle. The motorcycle sustained disabling damage. It was removed. The deer was deceased. Monticello Fire Department assisted.

●  No injuries were reported from a vehicle vs. fence crash at 4:15 p.m. May 3 in the W1600 block of County F, Town of Decatur. Jacquelyn A. Dobson, 70, Janesville, was westbound when she exited the roadway and collided with a fence. Her vehicle sustained disabling damage. It was towed. 

On May 14: 

●  No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle crash at 5:47 a.m. in the N3600 block of Wis. 81, Town of Monroe. Colin R. Foley, 18, Monroe, was northbound when his tire became detached in motion and hit a southbound vehicle operated by Dana C. Wyttenbach, 42, Argyle. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage. They were towed. 

●  No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle crash at 7:31 a.m. in the W8500 block of Wis. 11, Town of Cadiz. Shayla J. Curran, 24, Shullsburg, was eastbound following a semi when an item fell off the trailer and hit her vehicle. Her vehicle sustained functional damage. The semi was not located. 

●  No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle crash at 9:17 p.m. on County C at Brooklyn Albany Road, Town of Albany. Ted A. Jackson, 64, rural Albany, was southbound when he failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway entering the ditch and hit a tree. His vehicle sustained functional damage. It was towed. He was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating under the influence. He was also cited for failure to maintain control. He was released to a responsible party. 

●  No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle crash at 9:20 p.m. in the N7200 block of County CC, Town of Exeter. David L. Mouchon, 50, Belleville, was northbound when he hit a deer causing damage to the windshield. He crossed the centerline and collided with a southbound vehicle operated by Cole D. Nicholson, 48, Monticello, causing it to go down a steep embankment. Mouchon’s vehicle sustained disabling damage. It was towed. Nicholson’s vehicle sustained functional damage.

● A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 6:50 a.m. May 22 in the W4000 block of Wis. 11, Town of Sylvester. The driver left the north side of the westbound lanes and hit a snow fence owned by Green County Highway and continued down the embankment. The driver attempted to drive out of the ditch and got hung up on the small creek. The vehicle sustained minor front-end damage. It was taken to the Green County Sheriff’s Office Impound as the owner was not located. Investigation found Brody Gallegher, 19, Monroe, to be the driver at the time of crash. He reported he swerved to miss a deer at around 4 a.m. He reported having a slight headache. He was cited for failure to notify police of an accident and failure to maintain control of vehicle. 

●  No injuries were reported from a single-vehicle crash at 1:48 a.m. May 23 in the N1700 block of Wis. 69, Town of Clarno. Jesus Flores Alonso, 28, Madison, was northbound when he swerved to avoid a deer and lost control and crashed. His vehicle sustained moderate damage with airbag deployment. It was towed. He was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating under the influence. He was also cited for operating with a prohibited alcohol concentration, driving without a valid license and failure to keep vehicle under control. He was released to a responsible party. 


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On May 5: 

●  Dawn M. Gobrecht, 47, Shullsburg, reported hitting a deer at 4:40 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington. Her 2003 Ford sustained moderate damage. 

●  Megan E. Toay, 17, Mineral Point, reported hitting a deer at 10:16 p.m. on Ivey Road, Town of Willow Springs. Her 2010 GMC sustained moderate damage.

●  John G. Paulson, 66, Gratiot, reported hitting a deer at 9:39 a.m. May 7 on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot. His 2004 Ford sustained moderate damage.

● No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at 3:02 p.m. May 14 on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington. Rhonda K. Pehl, 54, Gratiot, was traveling on Wis. 81 when she was rear-ended by a vehicle operated by Danys N. Pena-Velasques, 16, Darlington. He was cited for driving without a valid license and following too closely. 

On May 15: 

●  Heidi G. Schultz, 27, Edgerton, reported hitting a deer at 11:27 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. Her 2016 Jeep sustained moderate damage.
