MONROE — On Monday, April 20:

●  No injuries were reported from a vehicle vs. farm tractor crash at 10:43 a.m. in the N4400 block of Wis. 69, Town of Monroe. Cory D. Bauman, 20, Monroe, was driving the tractor hauling equipment southbound when he turned left into a field access. A southbound vehicle behind him, driven by Carolyn K. Johnson, 72, Monticello, collided with the tractor, causing minor damage to the equipment and functional damage to the vehicle.

On Tuesday, April 21:

●  A hit-and-run was reported at 5:39 a.m. in the 1400 block of 2nd Street in New Glarus. Deputies determined through an investigation of the scene that the unknown vehicle was southbound when it entered the ditch, struck the culvert, went up the embankment and collided with five mailboxes, leaving tire tracks in a yard, then got back on road and continued southbound. The sheriff’s office and New Glarus Police Department are asking the public for any information on the incident.

●  A vehicle that went off the road was reported at 3:55 p.m. in the N1900 block of Wis. 69 just south of Monroe, near Sky-Vu. The Monroe Fire Department and two ambulances assisted deputies on scene. Both occupants, a 21-year-old man and a 26-year-old man, were unresponsive in the vehicle. The vehicle was undamaged. The vehicle appeared to have gone off the road because the driver lost consciousness. The sheriff’s office is treating the case as a medical issue. The two men were taken to Monroe Clinic for treatment.

On Wednesday, April 22:

●  A hit-and-run on a legally parked vehicle was reported at 2:08 p.m. in the N6600 block of Wis. 69, Town of Mount Pleasant. The owner of the vehicle was fishing in Lake Montesian just outside Monticello and had it parked nearby along Wis. 69. When the owner returned, there was a dent on the passenger side.

●  A two-vehicle crash was reported in the Town of Spring Grove at 6:15 p.m. April 26. Jamie G. Hosch, 28, Cuba City, was northbound on County T at Stateline Road when a westbound vehicle on Stateline Road entered the intersection and collided with his vehicle. The other driver, Kyle P. Putnam 28, Loves Park, and his passenger reported no injuries. Hosch was also uninjured. Both vehicles sustained damage. Putnam’s airbags deployed. Putnam was cited for failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign. The Winnebago County (Illinois) Sheriff’s Office assisted deputies on scene.

On April 27:

●  Riley A. Prien, 19, Monroe, and his juvenile passenger reported no injuries from a one-vehicle accident at 11:28 a.m. in the N3300 block of Wis. 69, Town of Monroe. Prien’s truck and the trailer it was hauling jackknifed, causing damage to both. They were towed. 

●  Thomas C. Ovadal, 17, Albany, and his three passengers reported no injuries from a vehicle vs. pole crash at 6:03 p.m. in the N6500 block of English Settlement Road, Town of Albany. Ovadal was northbound when he failed to negotiate a curve and lost control. The vehicle entered the ditch and hit a power pole. The pole was undamaged. The vehicle sustained damage, with airbag deployment. It was removed from the scene. Ovadal was cited for driving too fast for conditions.

On April 28:

●  No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle crash at 5:22 p.m. in the Town of Spring Grove. Onnikah E. Oliver, 16, Brodhead, was westbound on Wis. 11 when she attempted to turn onto Wis. 81 and collided with an eastbound vehicle on Wis. 11 driven by Dylan J. Atkinson, 30, Brodhead. The vehicles came to rest on the roadway. Oliver’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene. Atkinson’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was removed from the scene. Oliver was cited for failure to yield right-of-way.


Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On Friday, April 3:

●  No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at 6:15 a.m. on County KK, Town of Gratiot. Gratiot First Response, the Gratiot Fire Department and Green County EMS of Darlington assisted deputies on scene.

On Saturday, April 4:

●  A deputy responded for a one-vehicle accident at 6:19 a.m. on County F, Town of Fayette. Whitney F. Hustad, 21, Blanchardville, fell asleep behind the wheel, causing her vehicle to enter the ditch. The 2016 Toyota, owned by Brooke L. Breezer, 30, New Glarus, sustained severe damage. It was towed. Hustad was cited for failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle and failure to report an accident to law enforcement.

●  A one-vehicle accident was reported at 5:10 p.m. on County F, Town of Lamont. Mikayla V. Gilberts, 27, Darlington, lost control, causing the vehicle to enter the ditch and hit a fence. The 2001 Dodge, owned by Valerie M. Atkinson, 49, Mineral Point, sustained moderate damage. It was driven from the scene. Gilberts was cited for inattentive driving.

On Sunday, April 5:

●  Amanda L. Place, 34, Dodgeville, reported hitting a deer at 8:51 p.m. on County G, Town of Belmont. No injuries were reported. The 2012 GMC Arcadia was driven from the scene. 

On Monday, April 6:

●  Christine M. Stephens, 61, Cuba City, reported hitting a deer at 6:26 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot. No injuries were reported. The 2019 Honda was driven from the scene.

●  A one-vehicle accident with minor injuries was reported at 10:49 a.m. on Furnace Hill Road, Town of Willow Springs. Eric J. Stauffacher, 26, Darlington, was southbound when his 2013 GMC left the road and hit a bridge. One person was transported by Green County EMS of Darlington to a hospital. The GMC sustained severe damage. It was towed. The Darlington Fire Department also responded to the scene.

●  Tina Y. Dammen, 30, Argyle, reported hitting a deer at 2:48 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Argyle. No injuries were reported. The 2015 Chevrolet sustained minor damage. It was towed.

●  Minor injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident on Wis. 78, Town of Argyle, at 4:06 p.m. Monday, April 13. Izabela Kozik, 47, Blanchardville, was southbound when she lost control, causing her vehicle to enter the ditch. The 2014 Jeep sustained moderate damage. It was towed. Argyle EMS, Argyle police and the Argyle Fire Department assisted a deputy on scene.

●  No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident on County D, Town of Wayne, at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 14. Lindsey R. Spradlin, 20, Davis, Illinois, was westbound when she failed to yield right-of-way for a southbound vehicle driven by Wesley C. Wolfe, 56, South Wayne, causing the vehicles to collide. Her 2015 Kia and Wolfe’s 2003 Dodge sustained moderate damage and were towed. South Wayne First Response and the South Wayne Fire Department assisted deputies on scene. Spradlin was cited for failure to yield right-of-way.

On Monday, April 20:

●  Jason D. Jeramiason, 43, Monroe, reported hitting a deer at 5:22 a.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg. No injuries were reported. The 2019 Ford sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

●  An ATV accident involving a male juvenile was reported at 12:34 p.m. on County G, Town of Willow Springs. The Darlington Fire Department and Green County EMS of Darlington responded. The juvenile was westbound when he went off the road, overcorrected, then went back across the road and flipped over the embankment into a fence. He was taken to a hospital with injuries. The four-wheeler sustained moderate damage.

●  No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 4:36 p.m. on County W, Town of White Oak Springs. Danielle L. Cline, 33, Apple River, Illinois, was eastbound when she encountered a hazard in the roadway. She lost control, entered the ditch and hit a bridge pole. The 2017 Ford sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

On Wednesday, April 22:

●  Colton J. Glasson, 24, Belmont, reported hitting a deer at 6:02 a.m. on County G, Town of Belmont. The 2011 Chevrolet sustained minor damage.

●  A one-vehicle accident was reported at 7:21 p.m. on Stump Grove Road, Town of Shullsburg. Logan W. Glasgow, 18, Shullsburg, failed to negotiate a curve, causing the 2001 Honda to enter the ditch and hit a tree. The Honda was towed with moderate damage. Glasgow was cited for failure to keep vehicle under control.

On Thursday, April 23:

●  A one-vehicle accident was reported at 5:11 a.m. on County G, Town of Willow Springs. Justin W. Hoover, 32, Monroe, swerved to miss a deer, causing his vehicle to exit the roadway and hit a pole. The 2019 Dodge sustained minor damage and was towed. Green County EMS of Darlington assisted a deputy on scene.

●  Jonathan P. Blaser, 29, Shullsburg, was southbound at about 7:56 p.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont, when his 1986 Chevrolet truck caught fire. The truck sustained severe damage and was towed. No injuries were reported. The Platteville Fire Department responded, with several area law enforcement agencies assisting.

On Friday, April 24:

●  Jimmy W. Mattison Jr., 38, Mineral Point, reported hitting a deer at 6:36 p.m. on Spore Road, Town of Lamont. No injuries were reported. The 2013 Chevrolet sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.
