MONROE — On March 15:  

●  No injuries were reported from a single-vehicle crash at 3:11 p.m. in the W6400 block of County C, Town of Washington. Cody L. Dierks, 30, Cottage Grove, was westbound when he lost control due to snow-covered road conditions. He exited the roadway and collided with a mailbox. He then collided with an embankment and overturned. His vehicle sustained disabling damage with airbag deployment. It was towed. 

●  No injuries were reported from a single-vehicle crash at 5:38 p.m. in the W1500 block of County EE, Town of Albany. Devin B. Holtz, 19, Monticello, was westbound when he lost control due to snow-covered road conditions. He exited the roadway and hit a guardrail. His vehicle sustained disabling damage with airbag deployment. It was towed. 

On March 17: 

●  Deputies, New Glarus Police Department, New Glarus Fire Department and New Glarus EMS responded to a two-vehicle crash at 12:59 p.m. in the N9600 block of Wis. 69, Town of New Glarus. This remains under investigation. 

●  Heidi L. Hancock, 44, Montello, and an 11-year-old passenger were evaluated by New Glarus EMS for injuries sustained from a single-vehicle crash at 2:41 p.m. in the N9100 block of Wis. 69, Town of New Glarus. She was northbound when she attempted to avoid hitting a southbound vehicle that crossed the center line and lost control entering the west ditch. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage with airbag deployment. It was towed. New Glarus police assisted. 

●  No injuries were reported from a single-vehicle crash at 7:02 p.m. in the N500 block of Five Corner Road, Town of Clarno. Kim E. Ostby, 43, Monroe, was southbound when she swerved to avoid a deer and lost control of her vehicle. She hit a guardrail, entered the west ditch and hit a fence. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage with airbag deployment. It was towed. 

● Marie L. Carpenter, 32, Warren, and Renee E. Gavigan, 23, New Glarus, were both transported by New Glarus EMS to Monroe Clinic for non-life threatening injuries sustained from a two vehicle crash at 7:22 p.m. March 18 on Wis. 69, south of Exeter Crossing Road, Town of New Glarus. Carpenter was southbound, driving left of center and collided with a northbound vehicle operated by Gavigan. Carpenter’s vehicle went off the west side of the road down a steep embankment. Gavigan’s vehicle went into the east ditch, overturned and landed on its wheels. Her vehicle sustained severe disabling damage with airbag deployment. It was towed. Carpenter’s vehicle sustained moderate disabling damage with airbag deployment. It was towed. Carpenter was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while impaired, possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia. She was cited for driving left of center and no proof of vehicle insurance. She was jailed. 

●  No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle crash at 4:21 p.m. March 21 on West South Street and South Liberty Street, Town of Cadiz. Nicholas V. Meyer, 36, Browntown, was traveling south on South Liberty Street at 10 p.m. March 20 when he lost control and hit a stop sign. The vehicle sustained minor damage. He was cited for failure to notify law enforcement of a crash and failure to maintain control of vehicle. 


Lafayette County Sheriff 

DARLINGTON — On March 14: 

●  No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at 6:42 a.m. on Cub Hollow Road, Town of Gratiot. Lydia J. Stietz, 20, Argyle, was eastbound on Salty Hollow Road when she failed to stop at a stop sign and continued through the intersection and into the ditch. Her 2017 Toyota sustained disabling damage. It was towed. She was cited for failure to stop at stop sign, failure to maintain control and failure to report an accident. Patrick L. Stietz, 51, Argyle, was cited for obstruction. 

●  No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at 2:41 p.m. on County H, Town of Benton. Jacob M. Wedig, 21, Cuba City, was eastbound when he crossed the center line hitting a westbound vehicle operated by Larry D. Simmons, 71, Cuba City. Both vehicles sustained severe damage. They were towed. Wedig was cited for driving left of center.
