Monroe Police

MONROE — A two-vehicle crash with no injuries was reported in the 800 block of Wis. 69 at 11:28 a.m. June 14. Heidi L. Thomann, 38, Orangeville, was northbound when she rear-ended another northbound vehicle, driven by a 51-year-old Edmund man, as he was stopped for a red traffic light. Both vehicles had minor damage. Thomann was cited for inattentive driving.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — On June 10:

●  A vehicle in the ditch was reported at 2:01 a.m. in the W6900 block of Franklin Road, Town of Clarno. Investigation resulted in Donovan Taylor, 45, Belmont, being arrested on a third-offense charge of operating while under the influence of alcohol. He was jailed and later released on bond.

●  At 5:19 p.m. June 14, deputies were notified of a motorcycle crash that occurred on June 12 in the N2100 block of Wis. 69, Town of Clarno. Coty D. D. Sweet, 31, Stockton, Illinois, was southbound when he reported a vehicle pulled out in front of him, causing him to lose control and crash. He reported he was not wearing a helmet. He was later treated for non-life threatening injuries at a hospital in Illinois. He was cited for failure to report an accident to law enforcement.

●  Johnathan T. Sutherland, 26, Albany, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 11:15 p.m. June 17 in the W2000 block of County EE, Town of Albany. He was eastbound when he fell asleep. The vehicle exited the roadway via the south shoulder into the ditch and hit an embankment, coming to rest partially on a culvert. It sustained moderate damage and was towed.

DARLINGTON — On June 2:

●  Karl F. Hirsbrunner, 69, Darlington, reported hitting a downed tree in the roadway at 9:04 p.m. on County F, Town of Fayette. His 2012 Dodge sustained minor damage. A deputy assisted on scene.

On June 3:

●  Joseph P. Koller, 32, Argyle, reported hitting a deer at 6:43 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington. His 2018 Chevrolet sustained minor damage.

●  John E. Dunlavy, 51, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 9:41 p.m. June 4 on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington. His 2015 Dodge sustained minor damage.

●  Devon A. Ferguson, 18, Argyle, and a minor passenger were taken by Argyle EMS to a hospital for treatment of injuries they sustained in an ATV accident reported at 6:01 p.m. June 5 on Valley Road, Town of Argyle. He was southbound when he swerved to miss an animal and rolled the 2012 Polaris. The ATV sustained minor damage. It was towed. Deputies, the Argyle Fire Department and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources assisted on scene.

●  James A. Killian, 54, Stoughton, sustained minor injuries in a motorcycle accident reported at 4:19 p.m. June 7 on Wis. 78, Town of Wiota. The Wiota Fire Department and First Response and Argyle EMS responded. Killian was northbound when he drifted into the gravel while negotiating a curve. He then hit an embankment and sign post, throwing him into the ditch. His 2009 Triumph came to rest on the road. He was transported to a hospital. The motorcycle had severe damage and was towed.

On June 8:

●  Weston H. Ritchie, 24, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 9:03 a.m. on Ames Road, Town of Darlington. His 2015 Chrysler sustained minor damage.

●  Barbara M. Zander, 60, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 1:06 p.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Darlington. Her 2009 Chevrolet sustained minor damage.

On June 9:

●  Jeremy A. Ubersox, 25, Shullsburg, reported hitting a deer at 5:50 a.m. on U.S. 151, Town of Belmont. His 2010 Chevrolet sustained minor damage.

●  Michael W. Ware, 61, Shullsburg, reported hitting a deer at 9:10 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot. His 2012 Ford sustained minor damage.

On June 10:

●  Dallas L. Cecil, 66, South Wayne, reported hitting a deer at 11:52 a.m. on Red Rock Road, Town of Darlington. His 2013 Ford sustained moderate damage. It was towed.

On June 12:

●  Leonard E. Paquette, 63, Shullsburg, and Carol L. Tyson, 59, Shullsburg, were involved in a two-vehicle accident reported at 5:50 p.m. on County U, Town of Seymour. Paquette’s 2007 Chevrolet and Tyson’s 2012 Ford both sustained minor damage. The Shullsburg Fire Department, Shullsburg EMS and deputies assisted on scene.

●  Norman E. Andrews, 46, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 9:48 p.m. on Riverside Road, Town of Gratiot. His 2019 GMC sustained minor damage.

On June 14:

●  Blake T. Murphy, 17, Cuba City, was transported with injuries to Southwest Health in Platteville following an ATV accident reported at 2:59 p.m. on County G, Town of Kendall. He was traveling on the Pecatonica Trail when he lost control, causing the ATV to exit the trail and roll over. The Belmont Fire Department, Belmont EMS and Mineral Point EMS assisted a deputy on scene.

●  Anna E. Johnson, 17, Durand, Illinois, reported hitting a deer at 9:59 p.m. on Bridge Street, Town of Gratiot. Her 2011 Ford sustained minor damage.

On June 15:

●  Gerald A. Elbert, 38, Dubuque, Iowa, reported hitting a deer at 10:02 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Shullsburg. No injuries were reported. His 2019 Ram sustained severe damage and was towed.

On June 16:

●  A two-vehicle accident with no injuries was reported at 8:29 a.m. on Truman Road, Town of Kendall. As a result, Alexis Lopez, 20, Belmont, was cited for no vehicle insurance, failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign and driving with a suspended license.

●  John W. Larson, 74, Argyle, reported hitting a deer at 9:57 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Lamont. No injuries were reported. His 2015 GMC sustained minor damage.
