MONROE — On Dec. 14:
● A three-vehicle crash was reported at 10:53 a.m. in the N6900 block of County J, Town of Adams. A dark-colored Chevy SUV was southbound on County J when it abruptly slowed down. A 1998 International straight truck behind the SUV swerved to avoid hitting the SUV but collided with it anyway, causing it minor damage. Due to the truck’s swerving, the driver of an oncoming northbound 2013 Chevy Equinox had to swerve to avoid the truck and entered the ditch, striking the embankment. Neither the driver of the truck, 58-year-old Edward Fox of Gasconade, Missouri, nor the driver of the Chevy Equinox, 17-year-old Jeanna Donnell of Monroe, reported injuries. The driver of the dark-colored SUV left the scene before the arrival of law enforcement and was not located.
● No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle crash at 2:28 p.m. in the N8500 block of Hay Hollow Road, Town of York. Parker D. Havens, 30, Blanchardville, was northbound when he lost control due to slick conditions. He entered the west ditch and hit several mailboxes. The vehicle sustained minor damage.
● No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle crash at 3:25 p.m. in the W5400 block of Spring Valley Road, Town of New Glarus. A vehicle driven by Deane M. Judd, 53, Ridgeway, sustained mechanical failure causing the trailer and equipment to overturn. The vehicle and trailer were removed.
● No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle crash at 7:18 p.m. in the W2500 block of County SS, Town of Decatur. Gavyn M. Wendelschafer, 17, Brodhead, was eastbound when he entered the south shoulder and then lost control and entered the north ditch and overturned. The vehicle sustained severe damage. It was towed. He was cited for inattentive driving.
● Jean M. Culbert, 72, Albany, was transported by Albany EMS for evaluation of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash at 12:55 p.m. Dec. 15 on County F and Hein Road, Town of Decatur. She was turning north onto County F when she was hit by a southbound vehicle operated by Brian E. Grover, 61, Loves Park, Illinois. Culbert was not wearing her seatbelt. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. They were towed. Culbert was cited for failure to wear a seatbelt.
● Deputies, New Glarus Fire Department and New Glarus EMS responded for a vehicle vs. power pole crash at 5:24 p.m. Dec. 23 in the N7700 block of County N, Town of New Glarus. Robert P. Bennett, 32, Monroe, was southbound when he swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway. He entered the west ditch and hit a power pole. He reported being injured. He refused medical treatment. The vehicle sustained severe damage. It was towed. He was cited for driving while suspended and no vehicle insurance.
● Hunter T. Brewer, 20, Brodhead, was transported by Albany EMS for medical evaluation for his injuries sustained from a single-vehicle crash at 8:35 p.m. Dec. 24 in the N4800 block of County F, Town of Decatur. He was southbound when he lost control, entered the west ditch and hit an embankment. The vehicle sustained severe damage with air bag deployment. It was towed. He was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while under the influence. He was also cited for failure to maintain control of vehicle. He was released pending court.
● Deputies, Brooklyn EMS and Belleville Fire Department responded for a two-vehicle crash reported at 6:23 p.m. Dec. 27 on Wis. 92 and County X, Town of Exeter. Samantha M. Witek, 28, Belleville, was northbound on County X and slid through the intersection with Wis. 92 due to snow covered road surface. She then collided with a westbound vehicle on Wis. 92 operated by Alan B. Gritzmaker, 66, Brodhead. He sustained a non-life threatening injury. Both vehicles sustained disabling damage. Gritzmaker’s vehicle had air bag deployment. Both were towed.
● No injuries were reported from a single-vehicle crash at 7:27 a.m. Dec. 28 in the W3800 block of County C, Town of Mount Pleasant. Joshua J. Ubersox, 40, Monroe, was eastbound when he lost control of his vehicle and entered the north ditch. He then hit a utility pole and came to a rest. The vehicle sustained damage. It was towed. The utility pole was not damaged.
On Dec. 29:
● No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle crash at 5:03 p.m. in the W900 block of Wis. 11, Town of Spring Grove. Riese F. Price, 16, Brodhead, was eastbound when she crossed the centerline and hit a westbound vehicle operated by Catarina Emma-Anastasia Jongeward, 26, Moore, Oklahoma. Jongeward’s vehicle sustained functional damage. Price’s vehicle sustained disabling damage with air bag deployment. It was towed. Price was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
● No injuries were reported from a single-vehicle crash at 6:11 p.m. in the N9600 block of County D, Town of Exeter. Faith L. Stull, 17, Oregon, was southbound when she lost control of her vehicle due to snow and exited the roadway and hit a traffic sign. The vehicle sustained disabling damage. It was towed.
