Lafayette County Sheriff 

DARLINGTON — No injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident at 2:45 p.m. Aug. 2 on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs. Elizabeth A. Martin, 78, Evanston, Illinois, was traveling on Wis. 23 when a vehicle operated by Megan M. Fritz, 32, Potosi, was stopped at a stop sign and pulled out in front of Martin. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage. Fritz was cited for failure to yield at a stop sign. 

●  A vehicle hitting a cow was reported at 9:28 p.m. Aug. 4 on county G, Town of Belmont. The driver fled scene prior to police arrival. The 1998 Volkswagen sustained severe damage. It was towed.
