Wilma A. Holtsapple age 88, of Albany, Wisconsin died Wednesday, January 26, 2011, at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Monroe. Wilma was born September 25, 1922 in Sylvester Township, Green County, the daughter of Fred and Anna (Schneeberger) Baertschi. She was raised in Albany Township, where she attended English Settlement School.

Wilma married Austin (Bud) Holtsapple on September 10, 1942 in New London, MO. They owned a farm in Albany Township, where she lived until moving to Pleasant View in 2007. Before her marriage, Wilma worked for Overnight Photography Studios in Albany. While raising her family, she served on the Peebles School Board and was active in the Peebles School Mother's Club. She was a past member of the Albany Chapter #86 O.E.S. Wilma enjoyed cooking, gardening, working on craft projects, and spending time with her family. She loved all of the animals on the farm, but was especially fond of her cats.

She is survived by her children, Diann Malueg of DePere, Carol Holtsapple of Madison, & Jerry Holtsapple of Albany; brother, Fred (Dorothy) Baertschi of Albany, and many cousins, nieces, & nephews. She was preceded in death by her Parents; Husband; son, Gene; son-in-law, Robert Malueg; sister, Rose (Walter) Thoman; brother, Louis (Hilda) Baertschi; sister-in-law, Laura (Harry) Jacobson; and brothers-in-law, Frank (Mae) Holtsapple & Sheldon Holtsapple.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, January 29, 2011 at the Albany Lions Club 402 N. Cincinnati Street in Albany, WI with Rev. Sandra Nuernberg officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Albany.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M. Friday at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Drive & N. 18th Avenue in Monroe, WI and from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the Lions Club.

The family would like to thank the staff at Pleasant View Nursing Home for their care and kindness.

A memorial fund has been established in Wilma's memory.
