MIDDLETON - Willis H. Falk, age 82, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Friday, June 20th, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison. He was born February 12th, 1926 in Monroe, WI, the son of Herbert and Lena (Monte) Falk. Will served in the Navy in WWII, and upon returning married Barbara Wagner on January 25th, 1947. He was called back to duty in 1950, to serve in the Korean War. He graduated from the UW-Madison School of Business, and was employed as the advertising manager for Rennebohm Drug Stores for 30 years before starting his own advertising agency. Will was actively involved in his church, serving on various committees, teaching Sunday school, and singing in the choir for over 40 years. Will approached every day of his life with a positive attitude despite his many health challenges. He was an inspiration to all who knew him.
Survivors include his son, Mike (Barb) of Verona; daughter, Linda (Doug) Czechowski of Plano, TX; 4 grandchildren, Chris and Eric Czechowski, and Whitney and Marty Falk; his special friend, Barbara Dickey; brother, Vern Falk (Vi) of Fort Atkinson; and brother-in-law, John Van Ballegooijen of Chula Vista, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; and sisters, Lillian Weese and Ruth Van Ballegooijen.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28, 2008, at Middleton Community United Church of Christ, 645 Schewe Road, Middleton. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
