William J. Miller, age 86, of Monroe died on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at the Monroe Manor. He was born on November 18, 1927 the son of William A. and Lydia (Fritsch) Miller. William graduated from Monroe High School and U.W. Whitewater.
William served in World War II from October 1945 - April 1947.
William was an English teacher, worked for Ipson Ceramics as a Ceramic Designer and later worked for the Swiss Colony in the packing department.
William was a member of the Monroe Bible Church serving on the church board and teaching Sunday school for many years. He also enjoyed photography and art.
He is survived by his sister, Doris L. Hendrickson of Monroe; niece, Susan Hendrickson of Kenosha; and nephew, Daniel (Debra) Hendrickson of Monroe.
He is predeceased by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 18, 2014 at 12:00 noon at the Monroe Bible Church with Pastor Dan Krahenbuhl officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the church.
Memorials may be directed to the Salvation Army, Monroe Bible Church or the Monroe Fund in William's memory.
