William J. (Bill) Klever, 86, of Lena passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Lena Living Center. He was born August 29, 1923 in Freeport, IL to Clarence and Mary (Meyer) Klever. William married Marjorie Rees on February 7,1945. He was a lifetime area farmer and he sold farm machinery in Warren and Durand. William was a member of the Lena United Methodist Church and the Stephenson County Farm Bureau. He enjoyed playing cards and traveling.
He is survived by his wife- Marjorie; a son- James (Marilyn) Klever of Lena; 2 daughters- Mary (Russ) Hruby of Petersburg, IL and Carol (Richard) Wickersham of Lena; brother- Paul (Nancy) Klever of Freeport, IL; 8 grandchildren- Laura (Matt) Morrison, Ryan (Christal) Klever, Sara (Neil) Noller, Scott (Kimberly) Hruby, Chris (Anna) Hruby, Justin (Heather) Hruby, Megan and Cole Wichersham and 9 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother Russell.
Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena.
Officiating will be Pastor Ben Rocke
Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 and from 9:30 a.m. till time of service on Wednesday at the Leamon Funeral Home in Lena.
