WARREN - William E. Smeck, 90, of Warren, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2008 at the Lena Living Center. He was born March 24, 1918 in Nora Township, the son of Glen and Ina (Breed) Smeck. William served with the Civilian Conservation Corps during World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of the Warren American Legion. He loved gardening, listening to the radio, and attending the Milwaukee State Fair.

He is survived by a sister, Josephine Stubbe of Warren; several nieces and nephews; and two great nieces, Rhonda Havens of Apple River and Angie Rowley of Warren.

Preceding him in death where his parents and a brother, Joe.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home in Warren.

Officiating will be Rev. Yoshiya Takahashi.

Burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery.

Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday, May 6, 2008 at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home.

A memorial has been established in his name.
