William A. Paulson, age 74 of Monroe, died on Thursday, October 17, 2013 at his home. He was born on January 3, 1939 in Darlington, the son of Marvin and Winifred (Lee) Paulson.
William graduated from Darlington High School in 1958.
William and Rhonda Peterson were married on June 18, 1960 in Darlington.
Bill worked at Alphorn Ford for more than 35 years. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church and a former member of Monroe Fire Department.
Bill enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and Wisconsin Badgers football games in his favorite recliner. He also followed the Monroe Cheesemakers athletic events. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, whether it was just watching them at play or following their favorite events. He also enjoyed traveling.
He is survived by his sons, Ronald (Barb), Shawn (Kendra), Ryan (Ceanne) Paulson; daughters, Jenell (Alan) Shippy, Ann (Scott) Borcherdt, and Kim (Eric) Hansen; sisters, Carolyn (Harold) Hocking, Shirley (Kenneth) Rowley and Barb (Irvin) Benson; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
He is predeceased by his wife, Rhonda, parents, brother, Marvin and sister, Marilyn.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 21, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home 1455 Mansion Dr., and 18th Ave., in Monroe with Rev. David Busker officiating. Burial will follow in Union Grove Cemetery in Darlington.
Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
