Wayne E. "Smokey" Nysted

Wayne E. "Smokey" Nysted, age 54, of Argyle, WI, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014, at Monroe Clinic hospital in Monroe, WI. He was born September 3, 1959 in Monroe the son of Donald and JoAnne (Penniston) Nysted. Wayne graduated from Argyle High School in 1977. He lived in Argyle all of his life, where he worked for Argyle Industries for a number of years and later for Monroe Construction Company. In 1991, he began driving truck for Green Valley Redi-Mix in Monroe and for the past 15 years for Wingra Redi-Mix in Madison, WI.

Wayne is survived by his mother JoAnne Nysted; one son: Casey (Heather) Nysted; two grandsons: Dane and Brock Nysted; his lifelong friend: Candi Ehorn all of Argyle and her daughter: Hollie Ehorn of Lancaster, WI; one brother: Tom Nysted of Argyle; and four sisters: Carla (Wayne) Berget, Gayle (Kirk) Wenger, DeAnn Rossing, and Tammy (Richard) Dammen all of Argyle. He was preceded in death by his father: Donald on April 4, 1978.

Wayne loved spending time with his family and friends. He will always be remembered as an avid sports fan and partaking in all kinds of outdoor activities that included, hunting, fishing, biking, and trapping up until a few years ago.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 18, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Adams Lutheran Church, N7148 County Road A in rural Argyle with Rev. Rick Fry officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in rural Argyle. A visitation will be held Thursday, April 17, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Erickson Funeral Home, 801 East Milwaukee Street in Argyle. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Wayne's name.
