MONROE - A dispute over video games at a bar Sunday night ended with one Monroe man arrested and another man in the emergency room, according to police.
Jeremy D. Golackson, 41, faces charges of substantial battery, a Class I felony, and disorderly conduct, a Class B misdemeanor.
Golackson and his roommate were drinking at a tavern in the 1300 block of 17th Street when the argument escalated at 8:06 p.m. Golackson allegedly beat the roommate, leaving lacerations on the man's face and lips and potentially breaking his nose.
The roommate was transported by Monroe EMS to the Monroe Clinic ER for treatment.
If convicted to the full extent of the law on the felony charge, Golackson could be fined up to $10,000 and sentenced to three and a half years in prison.
His preliminary hearing in Green County District Court is set for 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 4.
