Monroe Police

MONROE - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 8 a.m. Saturday in the 2800 block of 13th Street. Police report a vehicle driven by Richard J. Wyss, 51, Monroe, collided with a vehicle driven by Lenwood R. Potts, 65, Monroe. Wyss was cited for inattentive driving and released pending court. Both vehicles received minor damage.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 11:30 a.m. Sunday at Ninth Street and 14th Avenue. Police report a vehicle driven by Therese Jaggi, 74, Monticello, collided with a vehicle driven by Diana K. Moen, 60, Monroe. Jaggi was cited for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign and released pending court. Both vehicles received minor to moderate damage.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Two people were injured in a motorcycle accident at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday on Wisconsin 69 north of Gutzmer Road. Deputies report a motorcycle driven by Brad Shulka, 31, Monticello, hit a deer. The motorcycle then went into a ditch. Shulka and his passenger, Lauren Shulka, 31, Monticello, sustained injuries. They were taken to Monroe Clinic. The motorcycle received moderate damage.

• Jacob Heins, 22, Monroe, was arrested for drunken driving and failure to maintain control of a vehicle following a one-vehicle accident at about 2:45 a.m. Sunday on County M at County B. Deputies report his vehicle failed to negotiate a T intersection. He was taken to Monroe Clinic. His vehicle received extensive damage.

• One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday in the 6600 block of Titus Lane in New Glarus township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Janie J. Crawford, 57, New Glarus, skidded across a gravel road and hit a tree and a fence. The vehicle received extensive damage.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 5:15 p.m. Saturday in the 6900 block of Pioneer Road in New Glarus township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Tanya C. Gruter, 16, Belleville, left the road and overturned. Gruter was cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle and released pending court. The vehicle received moderate damage.n A vehicle driven by Jason Eyler, 32, Monticello, hit a deer at about 6:45 a.m. Sunday on County C near County CC. The vehicle received moderate damage.

• A vehicle driven by Derek Watkins, 25, hit a deer at about 7:30 a.m. Sunday in the N8100 block of Wis. 81.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - One person was injured in a motorcycle accident at about 2:45 p.m. Friday on County W in Benton township. Deputies report a motorcycle driven by Leon I. Kitzmiller, 64, Stillman Valley, Ill., went into a ditch. Kitzmiller sustained injuries. The motorcycle received moderate damage. Benton first Response and Hazel Green Ambulance assisted at the scene.

• Shawn F. McQuaid, 30, Darlington, was cited for failure to have his vehicle under control, failure to report an accident and hit and run at about 7:30 a.m. Sunday following an investigation into a hit and run accident the night before. McQuaid told deputies he swerved to avoid an animal and his vehicle left the road and went through a fence.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 7:15 a.m. Friday on Wis. 78 in Argyle township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Jeremiah J. Diedrich, 24, Shullsburg, left the road and rolled after he fell asleep. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed. Blanchardville Fire and Blanchardville Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene.

• A vehicle driven by Judith A. Berget, 50, Darlington, hit a deer at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday on Wis. 23 in Willow Springs township. The vehicle received moderate damage.
