Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No injuries were reported at 6:55 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 following a deer vs. car accident on Wisconsin 59, west of Towns Road, in the Town of Decatur. Melissa R. Everson, 50, Monroe, was traveling east on Wis. 59 when she hit a deer. The vehicle had moderate front end damage and was towed.

• Injuries were reported at 11:01 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 during a one-vehicle accident in the W5200 block of Allison Road in the Town of Washington. Melanie C. Kind, 23, Monroe, was traveling west when she lost control of the vehicle, went off the road and the vehicle rolled over onto its top on the road. Kind was wearing her safety belt and airbags did deploy. She received injuries but declined medical treatment. The vehicle had severe damage and it was towed from the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported at 4:58 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 during a one-vehicle accident on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg Township. John J. Herbst, 65, Dickeyville, was driving westbound on Wis. 11 when a severe crosswind caused Herbst's semi to jackknife and end up in the ditch. The semi had moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Shullsburg Fire Department assisted with traffic control at the scene.

• Brent L. Whalen, 29, Darlington, reported hitting a deer at 7:27 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19 on Wildcat Road in Darlington Township.
