New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 8 a.m. Wednesday on Kubly Road near Elmer Road. Police report a vehicle driven by Nita E. Duerst, 44, New Glarus, crossed the center line and hit a vehicle driven by Aleta A. Martinson, 38, New Glarus. Duerst's vehicle then hit a guard rail and a steel post. Both vehicles received extensive damage and were towed. Duerst was cited for driving left of center and released pending court.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - A 3-year-old child was injured when a sport utility vehicle driven by Jeffrey L. Letheby, 46, Rowlett, Texas, backed into the child at about 3:30 p.m. Saturday in the N500 block of Haddinger Road. Deputies report the child ran behind the vehicle as it was backing in the driveway. The child sustained injuries and was taken to Monroe Clinic.

• One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 11:45 a.m. Saturday in the W2800 block of County SS. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Jennifer A. Gehringer, 20, Brodhead, left the road and overturned. Gehringer sustained injuries. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed.

• No one was injured in a motorcycle accident at about 8:15 p.m. Saturday on County H west of Legler Valley Road. Deputies report a motorcycle driven by Ronald D. French, 50, New Glarus, failed to negotiate a curve, overturned and went into a ditch. The cycle was towed.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 1:30 a.m. Saturday in the W2900 block of Greenbush Road. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Terry J. Morton, 45, Albany, slowed as it approached an intersection and spun out of control. The vehicle went into a ditch and overturned. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 7 a.m. Saturday in the W5000 block of County E. Deputies report a van driven by Ryan A. Galante, 24, Evansville, failed to negotiate a curve, went into a ditch and hit a signpost. The vehicle received minor damage and was towed.

• A vehicle driven by Heinz P. Mattman, 61, New Glarus, hit a deer at about midnight Saturday on Wisconsin 69 near Sand Rock Road. The vehicle received moderate damage.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 1:15 a.m. Saturday on County J in Benton township. Deputies report Shannon F. Bell, 23, Benton, sustained injuries. No further information was available.

• A vehicle driven by Julie A. Mowbray, 44, Cuba City, hit a deer at about 5:45 p.m. Saturday on County H in elk Grove township. The vehicle received moderate damage.
