MONROE - On Monday, Oct. 22:
No injuries were reported at 5:38 a.m. after Matthew D. Cole, 54, Browntown, collided with a deer on County M south of East Park Street in the Town of Cadiz. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.
No injuries were reported at 6:30 a.m. after Dennis L. Benson, 61, Monticello, collided with a deer in the N7200 block of Marshall Bluff Road in the Town of Exeter. The vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.
Thomas R. Kubly, 66, and his passenger Carol C. Kubly, 60, both of Monticello, were taken to Meriter Hospital's ER for treatment of injuries they sustained in a one-vehicle crash at 6:59 p.m. on County D at Wisconsin 92 in the Town of Exeter. Kubly was southbound on County D when he failed to stop for a stop sign and traveled through the intersection, into the ditch, and collided with the embankment. The vehicle sustained severe front-end damage and was towed. Contributing factors in the crash were dense fog and driving too fast for conditions. Belleville firefighters, EMS and police assisted deputies.
