MONROE - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 6:15 a.m. Friday on Wisconsin 59 west of Rechsteiner Road. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Nick L. Grinnel, 50, Monroe, left the road, hit a culvert and went into a cornfield. Grinnel told deputies he may have fallen asleep. He was cited for failure to maintain control of a vehicle and released pending court. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed.
