Monroe Police

MONROE - No injuries were reported at 2:53 p.m. Friday following a vehicle accident in the 100 block of North 18th Avenue. Larissa Humphrey, 25, Monroe, hit a vehicle driven by a 57-year-old woman from Monroe. Humphrey was cited for failing to yield the right of way.



NEW GLARUS Police

NEW GLARUS - New Glarus Police Department assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department with a motor vehicle crash with injuries at 3:19 p.m. Friday on County N, near County NN. New Glarus Fire Department and New Glarus Area EMS assisted on the call.

• Police responded to a possible accident at 1:39 p.m. Sunday in the 500 block of 1st Street. There was no accident/damage to a vehicle that was legally parked and the offending vehicle that had hit while parking.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Injuries were reported at 5:39 a.m. Sunday when deputies located a motor vehicle crash in the N4300 block of Park Road in the Town of Decatur. Deputies did not locate anyone around the vehicle as the driver fled the scene. The driver was later identified as Matthew S. Peterson, 21, Brodhead. Peterson was southbound when he failed to negotiate a curve and entered the west ditch. The vehicle then hit numerous trees causing severe damage to the vehicle. Peterson was not wearing his seat belt. Peterson received minor injuries, but did not seek medical treatment. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Peterson was cited for failing to maintain control of a vehicle, failing to notify police of an accident, and failing to wear a safety belt. He was released.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Sunday:

• Kyle R. Frost, 25, Elkhorn, reported hitting a deer at 5:27 a.m. on Wis. 11 in Gratiot Township.

• Terence M. Gunderson, 35, Shullsburg, reported hitting a deer at 10:41 p.m. on U.S. 151 in Belmont Township.
