LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF
DARLINGTON - On Monday:
• A driver was injured at 4:38 p.m. after Stephen J. Michel, 23, Apple River, struck the vehicle of Travis P. Smith, 39, Warren, Illinois, at the intersection of County W and Cub Hollow Road, Town of Monticello. Smith was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Michel was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign and driving with defective brakes. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were towed from the scene.
• No injuries were reported at 5:07 p.m. after Heather R. Stoeger, 39, Argyle, backed into a ditch on Nall Road, Town of Argyle. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
