Traffic Accidents: May 10, 2016

BRODHEAD POLICE

BRODHEAD - On May 2, a hit-and-run was reported at 4:42 p.m. in the 400 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police are seeking a suspect to question.

On May 3, a traffic crash was reported at 8:04 p.m. in the 800 block of 23rd Street. No citations were issued.



GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - On Friday:

• A horse received minor injuries at 5:01 a.m. after Cory W. Krueger, 26, Monticello, struck the animal in the W6600 block of County H, Town of New Glarus. Krueger was uninjured. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• A motorcyclist was injured at 3:48 p.m. after Glenn D. Kellett, 56, Marengo, Ill., lost control of his motorbike on gravel and fell down an embankment before being ejected from the bike in the W9300 block of Wisconsin 39, Town of York. Kellett was transported to the Monroe Clinic for his injuries. His bike sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• A motorcyclist was injured after an accident at 5:41 p.m. Dwayne P. Helmer, 46, Juda, was transported to the Monroe Clinic and was cited for driving while intoxicated.

• No injuries were reported at 7:38 p.m. after Gene A. Komprood, 64, Gratiot, struck a cow on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot. His vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.

• No injuries were reported at 9:50 p.m. after Alissa G. Goebel, 31, Blanchardville, swerved to avoid an animal on County F, Town of Fayette and entered a ditch. Goebel was cited for driving while intoxicated and with a suspended license, non-registration of a vehicle and failure to maintain control of her vehicle. Her vehicle sustained minor damage and was towed from the scene.

On Sunday:

• A deputy assisted the Grant County Sheriff at 1:10 a.m. with an accident at the intersection of highways 80 and 81.

• No injuries were reported at 8:18 p.m. after Richard F. McCallister, 29, Darlington, swerved off the road and into a ditch to avoid striking a deer on Roller Coaster Road, Town of Darlington. McCallister was arrested for driving while intoxicated. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
