Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Two people were injured in a one-vehicle accident around 9:45 p.m. Friday in the W9300 block of Wisconsin 78. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Rene R. Deininger, 38, Blanchardville, left the road and hit a utility pole and a fence after Deininger fell asleep. The vehicle overturned and received extensive damage. Deininger and his passenger, Shane W. Reinicke, 29, Blanchardville, sustained non-life threatening injuries. Deininger was cited for inattentive driving.

• No one was injured in a vehicle crash around 2:15 p.m. Friday in the N1900 block of County G. Deputies report a feed truck driven by James F. Obert, 57, Freeport, Ill., left a farm and the feed auger hit a power wire, bringing down the wire and a power pole. The windshield on a vehicle driven by Dennis K. Leaf, 62, Rockford, Ill., was cracked when it was hit by parts of the power pole. Leaf's vehicle received moderate damage and the feed truck received minor damage.

• A vehicle driven by Eugene D. Dagle Jr., 35, Warren, Ill., hit a deer around 4:45 a.m. Friday in the N1900 block of County G. The vehicle received moderate damage.

• A vehicle driven by Catherine M. Ebbet-Seffrood, 29, Monroe, hit a deer around 7 p.m. Friday in the W1800 block of Wis. 11. The vehicle received minor damage.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 12:15 p.m. Saturday on County G in Fayette township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Amy J. Zwicker-Fry, 33, Argyle, failed to negotiate a curve, left the road, hit a hay bale, rolled over, went through a fence and came to rest in a pasture. She was taken to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County by Rural Medical Ambulance. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.

• Melissa J. Hershberger, 25, Madison, was arrested for drunken driving, hit and run and failure to notify police of an accident following a one-vehicle accident around 3:15 a.m. Sunday in Blanchardville. Deputies report she was attempting to leave a parking stall but drove her vehicle over a curb and hit a light pole. She then left the scene.
