Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD - A traffic crash was reported at 11:20 a.m. Thursday in the 1000 block of 1st Center Avenue. Police determined it was a non-reportable crash. No citations were issued.



New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - Police responded at 3:57 p.m. Monday, March 19 to a motor vehicle crash on 6th Avenue at Wisconsin 69. Police determined it was an unreportable, minor crash. The drivers exchanged information.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Jeanne A. Gempeler, 57, Monticello, was airlifted by MedFlight helicopter to the University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison for evaluation and treatment of non-life threatening injuries following a one-vehicle crash reported at 2:56 p.m. Saturday in the W5900 block of Wis. 39, Town of New Glarus. New Glarus EMS, New Glarus Police and the New Glarus Fire Department assisted deputies at the scene. Investigation revealed Gempeler was eastbound when she crossed the center line and went off the road, hitting a stump. The vehicle overturned at least once and sustained major damage. It was towed. Gempeler advised she was wearing her seatbelt and the airbags deployed.

• Brian L. McKnight, 45, Brooklyn, was uninjured in a one-vehicle crash reported at 8:25 p.m. Sunday in the N9400 block of Wis. 104, Town of Brooklyn. Investigation revealed he was westbound on West Holt Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign at Wis. 104. His vehicle went off Wis. 104 via the west ditch, hit a sign and came to a stop. He reported wearing his seatbelt. The airbags deployed. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was later towed. McKnight was arrested on a first-offense charge of operating while intoxicated and released pending court. He was also cited for driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration and failing to maintain control.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Tracy L. Wiegel, 52, Darlington, reported hitting a deer on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs, at 8:28 p.m. Sunday. Wiegel's 2013 Ford sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported.
