Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Vicki L. Burdick, 57, Orangeville, was injured but declined medical treatment at the scene of a rollover crash in the N1600 block of Wisconsin 69 in Clarno Township at 11:45 p.m. Monday, March 18. Burdick was southbound when she lost control due to a snowdrift. The vehicle veered off the road and overturned in a ditch, coming to a rest on its side. It sustained moderate damage and was towed.

On Tuesday, March 19:

• Wendy S. Sanders, 43, rural Monroe, reported an injury but declined medical treatment at the scene of a one-vehicle crash at 3:02 a.m. in the N3500 block of County S in Sylvester Township. Sanders was southbound when she lost control of her vehicle in a snowdrift. The vehicle spun and hit the end of a guard rail. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed.

• Juvy Luz S. Balch, 48, Brodhead, sustained injuries from a rollover crash at 8:25 a.m. on County E at Pryce Lane in Decatur Township. Balch was northbound when she lost control on the icy road while attempting to negotiate a curve. The vehicle went into the ditch and rolled over. It was moderately damaged and towed. The Albany Fire Department and Albany EMS responded to the scene.

• Jason L. Riley, 36, Argyle, reported no injuries from a rollover crash at 9:40 a.m. in the N5900 block of County J in Adams Township. Riley was northbound when a gust of wind caused him to lose traction on the snow- and ice-covered road. The vehicle veered into the ditch and overturned. It was severely damaged and towed.

• Denise A. Thorpe, 39, Monroe, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 12:41 p.m. in the N5700 block of Wis. 69 in Washington Township. Thorpe lost control on the snow- and ice-covered road while attempting to negotiate a curve. The vehicle veered into the ditch. It sustained minor damage and was towed out of the ditch.

• Eric E. Ambler, 41, Monroe, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle crash at 8:11 p.m. in the N4600 block of Wis. 69 in Sylvester Township. Ambler was westbound when he lost control on the ice- and snow-covered curve while negotiating a curve. The vehicle veered into the ditch and hit a large snowbank. It was severely damaged and towed.

• Deputies responded to 12 other reports of vehicles in the ditch or stranded in deep snow on roads across the county. In each of these instances, there were no injuries or damages.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Jerod D. McNett, 45, Warren, reported no injuries from a one-vehicle accident at 5:48 a.m. Tuesday, March 19, on Wisconsin 78 in Gratiot Township. McNett was northbound when he hit a snowdrift and lost control. His vehicle slid around and then overturned in the ditch, sustaining moderate damage. It was towed. Assisting deputies at the scene were the Gratiot Fire Department, Gratiot First Response and Rural Medical Ambulance.
