Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident around 9:15 a.m. Saturday in the N3300 block of Park Road in Decatur township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Sherry L. Hafen, 41, Brodhead, left the road and hit a snow embankment due to slippery road conditions. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed from the scene.

• A vehicle driven by Fred W. Beckman, 61, Monroe, hit a deer around 6 a.m. Friday in the W5300 block of County P in Clarno township. The vehicle received moderate damage.

• A vehicle driven by Jean M. Duerst, 35, Monticello, hit a deer around 7:15 p.m. Saturday in the N3800 block of County J. The vehicle received moderate damage.

• A vehicle driven by Gabriel T. Phillips, 27, Monroe, hit a deer around 3:15 p.m. Sunday in the W8800 block of County Y in Jordan township. The vehicle received moderate damage.

DARLINGTON - Shane M. Stilson, 31, Galena, was arrested for failure to notify police of an accident, failure to have control of a vehicle and open intoxicants in a vehicle following a one-vehicle accident around 4:30 a.m. Sunday on County W in White Oak Springs township. Deputies report his vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, went into a ditch and overturned. Stilson left the scene. A passenger in the vehicle, Amber D. Stilson, 29, Galena, was cited for obstructing an officer. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.

• No one was injured when a car caught fire around 2:30 a.m. Friday on Lacey Road. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Olen C. Tollackson, 39, South Wayne, began making mechanical noises and stalled before it caught fire. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.

• Brandon J. Schlafli, 27, Argyle, reported around 9:15 a.m. Saturday that his vehicle hit a deer Friday. The vehicle received moderate damage.
