GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF
MONROE - On Wednesday:
• A motorcyclist was injured at 5:47 a.m. after Frank T. Cone, 52, Brodhead, crashed his motorcycle to avoid striking a deer in the N4600 block of Wisconsin 104, Town of Spring Valley. Cone was transported to a local hospital for his injuries. His motorcycle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
• A driver was injured at 6:27 p.m. after Anthony J. Loyd, 35, Davis, Illinois, struck the vehicle of Karen A. Lightly, 62, Belleville, while Loyd was distracted by pouring out a soft drink, causing both vehicles to enter a ditch. Lightly was uninjured while Loyd declined treatment for his minor injuries. Loyd was also cited for inattentive driving. Both vehicles sustained severe damage and were towed from the scene.
