MONROE - Emily K. Bystry, 31, Monroe, was arrested in the 900 block of 20th Avenue at 5:38 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, on a warrant issued by the Green County Sheriff's Department for writing worthless checks. She was jailed.

- Jonathon M. Holt, 18, Dodgeville, was cited for malicious destruction of property after an officer saw street signs being vandalized in the area of 8th Street at 17th Avenue at 12:21 a.m. Tuesday, June 26. Holt and two others were reportedly trying to knock over street signs. The other two people were referred to Green County Circuit Court for possible charges.

- Three solar lights, one shaped like a pig and the other two like birds, were reported stolen from a yard in the 2700 block of 4th Street at 10:57 a.m. Tuesday, June 26.

- Police took a report at 12:26 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, that trash had been dumped at Forest Prairie Park, N3100 Wisconsin 59. The license plate number of a vehicle spotted at the scene was checked, but it didn't match any vehicle from the area.

- Police are investigating a report taken at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, that a person dumped trash into the Dumpster behind Dollar General, 639 4th Ave.

- A person selling cleaning products door-to-door with the company Advanage 20X in the 2500 block of 17th Avenue was warned at 3:49 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, for peddling without a permit.

- A package containing mail-ordered vitamins was reported stolen from the mailbox of a residence in the 1500 block of 15th Avenue at 6:23 p.m. Tuesday, June 26.

- The parent of a 12-year-old boy reported at 7:43 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, that the boy was non-accidentally injured at Monroe High School, 1600 26th Street. Police are investigating the case for a possible referral to Green County Circuit Court.

- The owner of a "constantly barking" dog in the 2500 block of 9th Street was warned at 8:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, after an officer responded to a neighbor's complaint.

- A shattered window on a pickup truck parked in the 1300 block of 16th Street was reported at 1:36 a.m. Wednesday, June 27. Police have no suspects.

- Slashed tires on a pickup truck parked in the 900 block of 14th Avenue were reported at 6:59 a.m. Wednesday, June 27. There are no leads.

- A resident in the 2600 block of 4th Street reported at 7:52 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, that a decorative bench was removed from the yard, damaged and thrown into a yard across the street.

- Police are investigating a fraudulent check case reported by an employee at Dick's Piggly Wiggly, 725 8th St., at 11:32 a.m. Wednesday, June 27.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Mackenzie John Brunker, 19, Monroe, was arrested on charges of driving while intoxicated (first offense), possession of THC (marijuana) and possession of drug paraphernalia after deputies located a vehicle at 3:24 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, that was parked partially on the roadway on County P at Wisconsin 69 in the Town of Clarno. Brunker was also cited for having open intoxicants in the vehicle. He was booked and then released to a responsible party pending court.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Josiah R. Creasey, 25, Mineral Point, was arrested on charges of driving with a revoked license and failure to stop at a stop sign at 1:08 a.m. Wednesday, June 27, on County F in the Town of Fayette. A passenger in the vehicle, Lance T. McGuire, 28, Darlington, was arrested on a probation hold. Creasey and McGuire were jailed.

- Kim E. Gosser, 38, Santa Rosa, Calif., was cited for driving without vehicle insurance at 5 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, on Wisconsin 81 in the Town of Seymour.

- Derek M. Ball, 34, Blanchardville, was arrested on a probation hold at 10:55 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, after deputies responded to a report of a theft of a vehicle on Lafayette Street in Argyle. Ball was jailed.
