GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF
MONROE - On Thursday:
• A driver was injured at 7:24 a.m. after Michael S. Brace, 36, Belleville, swerved to avoid striking a deer in the W4600 block of Exeter Crossing Road, Town of Exeter. Brace's vehicle struck brush, trees and a sign. Brace fled the scene on foot and declined treatment for his injuries. He was cited for failing to maintain control of his vehicle and for failing to notify police of an accident. His vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.
• No injuries were reported after Marquel Hawthorn, Monticello, struck a deer in the W5000 block of Exeter Crossing Road, Town of New Glarus.

DARLINGTON - A driver sustained minor injuries at 10:28 a.m. Thursday after Cynthia J. Cernek, 82, Gratiot, struck a deer on County K, Town of Darlington. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
