MONROE - No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of 8th Street at 10th Avenue. Krystal M. Escobedo, 30, Monroe, was driving a vehicle that hit a vehicle driven by a 53-year-old man from Freeport. Escobedo was cited at 10:15 p.m. Friday, for inattentive driving and released pending court. Both vehicles were moderately damaged and removed from the scene by the drivers.
No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle accident on Wisconsin 69 and Monroe Road. Tammy J. Sweeny, 41, Monroe, was driving a vehicle that hit a vehicle being driven by a 91-year-old man from Monroe. Sweeny was cited at 2:45 p.m. Sunday for following too close.

MONROE - On Thursday:
Non-life-threatening injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Clarno Road and Melvin Road, Clarno Township. Terrance B. Hanna, 62, Monroe, was stopped at a stop sign on Melvin Road, and as Hanna drove forward a northbound vehicle driven by Lynne N. Kubly, 76, Monroe hit Hanna's vehicle. Kubly was transported via Monroe EMS to the Monroe Clinic ER for injuries sustained in the crash. Hanna was not injured. Both vehicles were moderately damaged and towed from the scene. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
Kristen Lee Walters, 19, South Wayne, was uninjured in a one-vehicle accident in the W7500 block of County Y, west of Hiawatha Road, Jordan Township, at 4:12 p.m. Walters was westbound on County Y when a deer ran into the roadway. Walters attempted to avoid the deer and lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle began to slide and entered the north ditch, hitting an embankment. Her vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.
Jana L. Miller, 71, Monroe, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident that occurred in the N600 block of County S, Jefferson Township, at 8:24 p.m. Friday. Miller was northbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit her vehicle. The vehicle sustained minor damaged and was driven from the scene.
Nicholas W. M. Farris, 17, Eden Prairie, Minn., sustained non-life-threatening injuries in an ATV accident on Center Road, Monroe Township, at 5:37 p.m. Saturday. Farris was driving an ATV on private property when he lost control and was partly thrown from the ATV. He was wearing a helmet and eye protection but sustained injuries. He was transported by private vehicle to the Monroe Clinic ER. The ATV was moderately damaged.
No injuries were reported in a two-vehicle crash at the Argyle Interchange, Town of Monroe, at 1:07 p.m. Sunday. Burnell C. Green, 75, Monticello, was stopped, and as he pulled into the interchange struck a boat trailer attached to a southbound pick-up truck driven by Verlin J. Heaberlin, 53, Machesney Park, Ill. Green's vehicle was severely damaged and driven from the scene. Hearberlin's truck was not damaged, but the boat and trailer received severe damage.

DARLINGTON - Joseph W. Ruf, 28, Darlington, reported hitting a deer on County F, Blanchard Township at 5:51 a.m. Thursday.
Casey J. Bennett, 27, Benton, was uninjured in a one-vehicle accident on Wis. 11, Benton Township. Bennett had missed a driveway to a residence and hit a tree. He was arrested at 2:53 a.m. Friday for driving while intoxicated. Bennett's 2012 Dodge Avenger received damage and was towed from the scene. He was released to a responsible party.
On Saturday:
Marilyn M. Siegenthaler, 72, Argyle, reported hitting a deer at 8:14 p.m. on Shortcut Road, Willow Springs Township.
Joseph W. Riechers, 40, Darlington, reported hitting a deer on Wis. 81, Darlington Township, at 10:03 p.m.
On Sunday:
A deputy took a report of a hit-and-run accident that occurred on Wilkinson Road, Benton Township, at 9:40 a.m.
Dennis D. Shippy, 68, Gratiot, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident that then caught fire on County W, White Oak Springs Township, at 7:58 p.m. Shippy was driving his 2011 GMC Terrain when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. A short time later his vehicle caught fire causing severe damage. Shippy was able to exit the vehicle and reported no injuries. Shullsburg Fire and EMS assisted on scene.
