Traffic Accidents: July 1, 2011

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Deputies investigated a report of a vehicle accident at 10:46 a.m. Wednesday. Reports indicate that the accident occurred around 9 p.m. Tuesday on Wisconsin 81, near Klondike Road, in the Town of Jordan. Gerald D. Nether, 71, Monroe, reported to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation that he hit a deer.

DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 8:43 p.m. Wednesday on County K, in the Town of Darlington. Dexter A. Ray, 16, Darlington, was traveling eastbound when he lost control as he was negotiating a curve.

Ray overcorrected, causing the vehicle to travel off the roadway and into the ditch, where it overturned. Ray, and his passenger, a 15-year-old juvenile, also of Darlington, were uninjured. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed from the scene.
