MONROE POLICE

MONROE - No injuries were reported at 4:01 p.m. Friday after John J. Marean, 71, Scioto Mills, Illinois, struck the vehicle of a 17-year-old South Wayne girl at the intersection of 17th Street and 13th Avenue. Marean was cited for making an unsafe turn.



GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - On Friday:

• A driver was injured at 6:31 a.m. after John S. Williams, 59, Oregon, was struck by his own vehicle in the N9300 block of County U, Town of New Glarus. William was struck by his vehicle - which also struck a guardrail - while he attempted to push it off the roadway after it ran out of gas. Williams sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was cited for a seatbelt violation. His vehicle sustained minor damage and was towed from the scene.

• No injuries were reported after Allan L. Chapman, 56, Belleville, struck a deer in the N9400 block of County D.

• A driver was injured after Joseph A. Lartz, 28, Monroe, lost control of his vehicle and struck an embankment and a cement wall in the N100 block of Martintown Road, Town of Cadiz. Lartz was transported to a local hospital for his injuries and was cited for driving with a revoked license, failure to maintain control of his vehicle and driving without vehicle insurance. His vehicle was towed from the scene.

On Sunday:

• A driver was injured after a crash was reported at 3:27 a.m. at the intersection of Wis. 11 and County S, Town of Monroe. An investigation revealed that Adam J. Dundee, 35, Brodhead, drove into a ditch and rolled over before fleeing the scene. Dundee was arrested for driving while intoxicated (third offense), failure to notify police of the crash and failure to maintain control of his vehicle. Dundee was transported to a hospital for his injuries.

• No injuries were reported after Nicole B. Jefferson, 25, Janesville, lost control of her vehicle on County C, Town of Washington. Her vehicle sustained minor damage and was towed from the scene.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported at 3:27 a.m. Friday after Joanna V. Tulachka, 24, Darlington, struck a deer on County Shop Road, Town of Darlington. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.
