MONROE - No injuries were reported at 4:26 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 14 following a two-vehicle accident at Wis. 69 and 8th Street. William T. Huston, 54, Monroe, was hit by a vehicle operated by Natasha R. Morgan, 23, Monroe.

MONROE - On Tuesday, Jan. 14:
Ned A. Slocum, 61, Elizabeth, Colo., was uninjured at 1:22 p.m. after his vehicle went off the road near County 104 in Brooklyn Township. His vehicle rolled over and came to a stop on its rooftop. The vehicle was righted and driven from the scene.
No injuries were reported at 2:14 p.m. following a two-vehicle accident on County CC in Brooklyn Township. Harry L. Turner Jr., 54, Monticello, was driving a plow truck southbound when he was hit by a vehicle operated by Katie J. Schmitz, 19, Belleville. Schmitz hit the rear of Turner's vehicle when Turner was slowing or stopped to turn into a private drive. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
No injuries were reported at 2:55 p.m. following a two-vehicle accident in the N7800 block of County CC in Exeter Township. Rhandee H. Wenger, 21, Browntown, was driving north on Wis. 69 when she lost control of her vehicle on the icy roadway, slid into a ditch and hit an unoccupied vehicle owned by Robyn L. Wenger, 19, Browntown. Both vehicles were towed from the ditch and driven from the scene.
Clifford W. Lu, 27, Freeport, was uninjured at 3:17 p.m. after he lost control of his vehicle on the snow-covered roadway in the N1800 block of Wis. 69 in Clarno Township and entered a ditch. His vehicle sustained moderate front-end damage and was driven from the scene.

NEW GLARUS - On Wednesday Jan. 10:
Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department at 5:10 p.m. with a vehicle that slid into the ditch at the N7500 block of Wis. 69.
Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department at 5:44 p.m. with numerous vehicles stuck on the road at the N7800 block of Wis. 69.
Police assisted a motorist at 6:50 p.m. in the Village of New Glarus at the 500 block of Wis. 69 that slid into the ditch.
Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department at 7:19 p.m. with a fully engulfed vehicle on fire on Wis. 69. The New Glarus Fire Department also assisted. The vehicle was a total loss.
A car vs. parked car accident was reported at 8:05 p.m. in the 300 block of 9th Avenue. The vehicle was eastbound on 9th Avenue when it slid on the icy street and hit a parked car.
Police assisted a motorist at 9:28 p.m. in the Village of New Glarus at the 400 block of 5th Avenue that slid into a backyard.
Police assisted a motorist at 9:53 p.m. in the Village of New Glarus at the 600 block of Durst Road that slid into the ditch.
Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department with numerous vehicles stuck on the road and in the ditch at 10:30 p.m. at the N9100 block of County O. New Glarus Area EMS also assisted on the call for a medical problem. The power was out in the northern part of the county and Alliant Energy vehicles had a slow response due to icy roads.

DARLINGTON - On Tuesday Jan. 14,
Ann E. Reuter, 34, Belmont, was uninjured at 5:59 p.m. after she lost control of her vehicle on County XX due to a patch of black ice. Her vehicle received moderate damage and was towed out of the ditch.
Deputies responded to reports of several slide-offs and vehicles in the ditch at various locations at 4:27 p.m. in Lafayette County due to the slippery road conditions from snow and drifting. No injuries or property damage were reported.
