Monroe Police

MONROE - Brooke P. Foley, 30, Monroe, was cited for failure to yield right-of-way from a stop sign following a two-vehicle accident with injuries reported at 2:31 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8 at the intersection of 22nd Avenue and 9th Street. Foley hit a vehicle operated by Tyler J. Peterson, 20, Monroe. A passenger in Peterson's vehicle suffered non-life threatening injuries and declined EMS.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - On Wednesday, Jan. 8:

• Curtis L. Saalsaa, 43, Argyle, was uninjured following a deer vs. vehicle crash reported at 5:17 a.m. in the N6700 block of County A in Adams Township. His vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

• Brian M. Budak, 27, West Des Moines, Iowa, was transported to MCER for injuries following a snowmobile accident reported at 4:49 p.m. on the Badger State Trail in the N3400 block in Monroe Township. He was operating a snowmobile southbound on the trail when he drove off the trail to avoid a collision with another snowmobile. Attempting to remove the snowmobile from the ditch, Brian Budak lifted the rear of the snowmobile as Shawn P. Budak, 47, Monroe, operated the throttle and the snowmobile backed over Brian Budak's leg.

• Kristi L. Marti, 33, Monticello, was uninjured following a deer vs. vehicle crash reported at 5:23 p.m. in the W1100 block of Dunphy Road in Albany Township. Marti's vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• Vicki L. Krenz, 48, Blanchardville, was uninjured following a deer vs. vehicle crash reported at 5:48 p.m. on Yankee Hollow Road east of Loyalty Road in York Township. Krenz's vehicle sustained severe damage but was driven from the scene by Krenz.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Wednesday, Jan. 8:

• Minor injuries were reported at 2:02 p.m. following a two-vehicle accident on Wis. 11 in Gratiot Township. Virgil L. Kingery Jr., 34, Gratiot, was traveling eastbound on Wis. 11 when a westbound vehicle driven by Roger P. Boelk, 78, South Wayne, attempted to turn left onto County KK. Kinergy was unable to avoid hitting Boelk's vehicle. Kingery and his passenger, Jarod M. Kingery, 14, Gratiot, reported no injuries. Boelk reported minor injuries and was treated at the scene by responding medical personnel. Boelk's 1998 Oldsmobile received extensive damage and was towed from the scene. Kingery's 2008 Ford truck received moderate damage and was also towed from the scene.
