GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF
MONROE - On Wednesday:
• Two drivers were inured at 3:40 p.m. after Reesan R. J. Ruch, 18, South Wayne, rear-ended the vehicle of Maria Nickl Dayton, 49, Argyle, at the intersection of County M and County Y, Town of Jordan. Both drivers were injured but declined medical attention. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage; Ruch's was towed from the scene.
• Michael A. Smiley, 31, Monticello, was arrested after an investigation into a crash that occurred at 7:54 p.m. Tuesday in the W1500 block of Ten Eyck Road, Town of Decatur. Smiley had lost control of his vehicle and struck an embankment, where he fled the scene on foot. Smiley was arrested for disorderly conduct while armed with a dangerous weapon, resisting an officer and endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon. He was also cited for driving too fast for road conditions, failing to report a crash and driving without vehicle insurance. Smiley was jailed. His vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
