GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - On Friday:

• A passenger was injured at 5:25 p.m. after a hit-and-run crash in the W8600 block of Buckhorn Road, Town of Browntown. Phillip L. Crooks, 42, was nearly rear-ended by another vehicle, which then pulled into a driveway. When Crooks stopped to confront the driver, the other vehicle backed up, striking Crooks' vehicle, and fled the scene. Crooks was uninjured, but his passenger, Tracy J. Crooks, 42, reported non-life-threatening injuries. The Crooks vehicle sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

• Two drivers were injured at 5:38 p.m. after Marisa S. Coles, 31, Monroe, struck the vehicle of Tracy J. Hefty, 48, Belleville in the N9600 block of Wis. 69, Town of New Glarus. Both drivers declined treatment for their injuries and both vehicles sustained severe damage and were towed from the scene. Coles was cited for driving without vehicle insurance and inattentive driving.

On Saturday:

• A driver was injured at 1:44 a.m. after Jennifer R. Wild, 18, Monroe, lost control of her vehicle and struck a utility pole in the W8900 block of Buckeye Road, Town of York. Wild was transported to a local hospital for her injuries and was cited for failing to maintain control of her vehicle. When police responded to the crash, they encountered Malik T. Caldwell, 20, New Glarus, who was cited for underage possession of alcohol.

• No injuries were reported after Travis P. Weiss, 28, Monroe, struck a deer in the W7100 block of Wis. 11, Town of Clarno.



LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - On Saturday, two drivers were injured at 1:15 p.m. after Matthew Johnson, 48, Viroqua, crossed the centerline on Wis. 11, Town of Wayne, and struck the vehicle of Tonia Hess, 38, Warren, Illinois. Both drivers were transported to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. Both vehicles sustained severe damage and were towed from the scene.

On Sunday, a vehicle in a ditch was reported at 9:29 a.m. on County G, Town of Argyle.
