MONROE - No injuries were reported from a one-vehicle accident at about 11:45 p.m. Tuesday in the N4500 block of Rechsteiner Road in the Town of Sylvester. Deputies report Jamie T. Schmid, 32, Juda, was southbound when he lost control in snow that had drifted across the lane. The vehicle struck a mailbox on the west side of the road, continued to slide off the west side of the road and became stuck in a large snowdrift. The vehicle received moderate damage, was towed out of the ditch and was driven from the scene.
- One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday in the N9600 block of Primrose Center Road in the Town of New Glarus. Deputies report Deana M. Dopp, 39, Belleville, was southbound on Primrose Center Road when she lost control of her vehicle while negotiating a sharp, right-hand curve. The vehicle slid on the snow-covered roadway and rolled onto its top. Dopp suffered an injury and was transported to an area hospital. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
