Green County Sheriff

MONROE - One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 1:15 a.m. Monday on Wisconsin 69 near Melvin Road. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Hun Su Son, 39, Mount Prospect, Ill., swerved to avoid a vehicle driven by James R. Moe, 68, South Wayne, that was making a left turn. Son's vehicle slid across the road and hit a mailbox. Minjoo Son, 13, Platteville, sustained a minor injury but declined medical treatment. Son's vehicle received extensive damage and was towed. Moe was cited for failure to yield the right of way and released pending court.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 4:30 p.m. Monday on Wis. 11 near Wis. 81 in Monroe township. Deputies report the hood on a truck driven by Randy A. Spotts, 24, Monroe, came unlatched and hit his front windshield. The vehicle received moderate damage.

• A vehicle driven by Amy J. Jarvis, 51, Brodhead, collided with a deer at about 4:45 p.m. Monday on Wis. 92 near Schaefer Road in Exeter township. The vehicle received minor damage.

• A vehicle driven by Kerry R. Karlen, 51, Monticello, collided with a deer at about 5:15 p.m. Monday on Dividing Ridge Road in County J in Washington township. The vehicle received minor damage.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 11:30 a.m. Monday on Wis. 81 in Argyle township. Deputies report a milk truck driven by David Brunkow, 46, Argyle, was exiting a driveway when the brakes malfunctioned. The vehicle crossed the center line and hit a vehicle driven by Dawn Skattum, 51, Argyle. Skattum was taken to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County for minor injuries.
