GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - One person was injured in a snowmobile accident at about 3:15 a.m. Sunday at the Badger State Bike Trail between Gutzmer Road and Feldt Road in Mount Pleasant township. Deputies report a snowmobile driven by Dan S. Haired, 31, Evansville, crossed a field access driveway and hit a tree. He was thrown from the snowmobile. He was transported to the Monroe Clinic and later taken to UW-Hospital. He was cited for driving a snowmobile while intoxicated. Alcohol and speed were contributing factors in the crash. The snowmobile received extensive damage and was towed.

• Jonathon J. Alt, 24, Apple River, Ill., was arrested for drunken driving after deputies discovered a vehicle in a ditch at about 5:15 a.m. Saturday on Schuetz Road in Clarno township. He was released pending court.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 5 p.m. Saturday on Wisconsin 59 at Peebles Road in Albany township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Andrea E. Balsiger, 25, Monroe, hit a patch of slush and went into the ditch. The vehicle then overturned. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.

• A vehicle driven by Vincent G. Mazzarisi, 17, Orfordville, collided with a deer at about 11:30 p.m. Saturday on Golf Course Road near County E in Decatur township. The vehicle received minor damage.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF

DARLINGTON - Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 2:45 p.m. Saturday on Wis. 11 in Benton township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Kevin P. Casey, 55, Cuba City, was slowing for a piece of farm machinery when it was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Shayna C. Crabtree, 21, Cuba City. Crabtree said she was distracted by something that fell in her vehicle. Crabtree, Casey and a passenger in Casey's vehicle, Kenneth J. Pickel, 71, Kieler, sustained minor injuries and were taken to a Dubuque, Iowa, hospital. Both vehicles received moderate damages. Crabtree was cited for inattentive driving.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 4 p.m. Friday on Crabtree Corner Road in Benton township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Bryant Baker, 17, Cuba City, left the road and overturned due to slippery road conditions. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 1:15 a.m. Saturday on County K in Darlington township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Amanda Guerrero Luna, 22, Monroe, swerved to avoid several deer in the road and went into a ditch. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed.

• A vehicle driven by Crystal McNett, 24, Belmont, hit a deer at about 7 p.m. on County G in Kendall township.

n A vehicle driven by Ricky L. Adams, 43, Cuba City, hit a deer at about 6:15 p.m. Saturday on County I in New Diggings township. The vehicle received moderate damage.
