NEW GLARUS - Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of 11th Avenue for a lawn mower that hit a parked vehicle at 4:51 p.m. Wednesday, July 31. The lawn mower slid down a terrace and struck the vehicle's front right bumper. The vehicle sustained minor damage. No injuries were reported.

DARLINGTON - On Sunday, Aug. 4:
Brian E. King, 25, Darlington, reported no injuries at 4:44 a.m. after he hit a deer on Wis. 81 in Argyle Township. His vehicle sustained moderate damage.
No injuries were reported at 3:23 p.m. from a two-vehicle accident on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg Township. Patrick J. Howard, 63, Cascade, Iowa, was eastbound in a semi truck and trailer when he met a vehicle driven by Linda L. Rakow, 62, Shullsburg, as the vehicles were negotiating a corner. The vehicles side-swiped each other, with Rakow's vehicle striking a wheel on Howard's trailer. Neither driver, or Rakow's passenger, Louis J. Hungerford, 73, Cuba City, reported injuries. Rakow's vehicle was extensively damaged and towed. The trailer sustained minor damage and was driven from the scene.

MONROE - Alexandra Sue Ihm, 17, Hollandale, was uninjured in a one-vehicle accident reported at 8:56 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 4, in the westbound lane of Wisconsin 81 near McGrath Lane. She attempted to change the radio channel, and the vehicle swerved onto the shoulder. Ihm lost control of when she tried to steer it back onto the road. It then re-entered the ditch line and struck the embankment. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed.
