Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Two people were injured in a motorcycle versus deer accident at about 8 p.m. Sunday on County W. Jeffrey S. Creighton, 42, and Marla M. Freiburger, 40, both of Cuba City, were thrown from the cycle after it hit the deer. They were taken to a Dubuque, Iowa hospital. The motorcycle received moderate damage and was towed.

• A 10-year-old male was injured in an all-terrain vehicle accident at about 4:45 p.m. Saturday on the Cheese Country Trail. Deputies report the 10-year-old left the trail and as he entered back onto the trail his ATV was hit by an ATV driven by Daniel A. Werren, 23, Darlington. The juvenile was taken to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County for a leg injury.

• A vehicle driven by Joel E. Opland, 35, Darlington, hit a deer at about 1:15 p.m. Monday on Roller Coaster Road in Darlington township.

• A vehicle driven by Jessica Luetkens, New Freedom, hit a deer at about 4:15 p.m. Friday on Wisconsin 81 in Lamont township.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 4:45 p.m. Monday in the N2000 block of Mount Hope Road. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Marjorie E. Zimmerman, 85, Juda, failed to negotiate a curve and went into a ditch. She sustained injuries and was taken to Monroe Clinic. The car received moderate damage and was towed.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 7:30 a.m. Sunday in the N5400 block of Rechsteiner Road. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Shawn C. Silas, 19, Monticello, left the road, hit a culvert and went into a ditch. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed.

• Deputies are investigating a hit and run that took place at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday in a business parking lot on County KK. Deputies report a vehicle owned by Joseph A. Kohn, 29, Orangeville, was hit while it was parked in the parking lot. The vehicle that hit Kohn's vehicle was described as a white or silver sport utility vehicle.
