Monroe Police

MONROE - No injuries were reported during a two-vehicle accident at 2:09 p.m. Monday at the intersection of W. 8th Street and 6th Avenue West. Reports indicate that Craig A. Anderson, 40, Monroe, hit a vehicle driven by Joseph A. Marx, 54, Monroe. Anderson was cited for following too closely.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 10:23 p.m. Monday on County E, at St. John Road, in the Town of Decatur. Reports indicate that David J. Davenport, 41, Brodhead, was southbound on County E, when he lost control while negotiating a curve, entered the ditch, traveled over a driveway and collided with a tree where he came to a rest. The vehicle had severe front-end damage and was towed from the scene. Davenport was arrested for third offense operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He was also cited for operating too fast for conditions and open intoxicants in a vehicle. He was jailed. The investigation determined that the driver impairment and heavy fog was contributing factors to the crash.

- No injuries were reported during a one-vehicle accident at 11:32 p.m. Monday on Wisconsin 11/81 and County GG in the Town of Spring Grove. Reports indicate that Nathan T. Irvine, 21, Waterford, was westbound on Wis. 81 when he failed to see the intersection due to the heavy fog. Irvine drove through the intersection and onto County GG, where he left the south side of the highway and collided with a directional sign for Wis. 11/81. Irvine continued into an open field before coming to rest. The vehicle sustained moderate damages and was towed from the scene. The investigation determined that speed and heavy fog was contributing factors to the crash.

- Deputies were called to investigate a report of a motor vehicle crash at 4:07 p.m. Monday that occurred on private property in the N9400 County D in the Town of Exeter. An investigation found that a vehicle had left the highway and collided with a tree on the property the night before. The crash remains under investigation.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Nicholas A. Wand, 53, South Wayne, reported hitting a deer at 9:28 a.m. Monday on Wis. 11 in the Town of Wayne.
