Monroe Police
MONROE - Two people were injured following a two-vehicle accident at about 5 p.m. Wednesday at Wisconsin 69 and Second Street. Police report a vehicle driven by Kimber D. Faust, 31, Monroe, hit a vehicle driven by Ruth P. Wittenwyler, 86, Monticello, as Wittenwyler was making a left turn. Wittenwyler was cited for failure to yield the right of way. Both vehicles received extensive damage and were towed.

MONROE - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday in the N600 block of Green Valley Road. Deputies report two vehicles owned by the Green County Highway Department were damaged while working on Green Valley Road. Greg D. Hilliard, 37, Monroe, was driving a wood chipper and Brian Indergand, 46, Monroe, was driving a dump truck. No further information was available.

DARLINGTON - One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 6:15 p.m. Wednesday on Wis. 23 at the Wis. 81 intersection in Darlington township. Deputies report a vehicles driven by Terri A. Baxter, 49, Darlington, and Calen L. Wirth, 22, Darlington, collided. Wirth sustained injuries and was taken to Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County for injuries. Wirth was cited for failure to yield. Both vehicles received extensive damage.
A vehicle driven by James L. Hull, 48, Darlington, hit a deer at about 8 p.m. Wednesday on Woodberry Road in Willow Springs township. The vehicle received moderate damage.
