MONROE - On Wednesday:

• Eric G. Appel, 60, Monticello, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident in the W2300 block of County C, Town of Brooklyn, at 7:34 a.m. Appel was eastbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit the front of Appel's vehicle. The vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.

• Gordan A. Martin, 68, Beloit, and his passenger were uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle crash in the N9500 block of County O, Town of New Glarus, at 5:36 p.m. Martin was southbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit his vehicle. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was driven from the scene.

• Ashley Elizabeth Stahmer, 23, South Wayne, was uninjured in a deer vs. vehicle accident in the W8600 block of Wisconsin 11, Town of Cadiz. Stahmer was westbound when a deer ran into the roadway and hit her vehicle. The vehicle sustained very severe front-end damage and was towed from the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported in a one-vehicle accident on County U, Shullsburg Township, at 6:57 p.m. Robert L. Wiegel, 41, Shullsburg, was southbound when he swerved to avoid a farm implement being driven by Richard H. Kelly, 75, Darlington. Kelly was eastbound on Jackson Road and turning northbound onto County U. Wiegel's vehicle drove into the ditch and hit a guide wire. The vehicle sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene.
