Monroe Police

MONROE - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 2:45 p.m. Friday at 10th Avenue and 20th Street. Police report a vehicle driven by David C. Hanson, 49, Monroe, collided with a vehicle driven by Keith M. Heitz, 49, Monroe. Hanson was cited for failure to yield the right of way. Both vehicles received minor damage.

MONROE - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 5:15 p.m. Friday on Meyers Road in Sylvester township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Jackie L. Kundert, 37, Monroe, slowed for a deer in the road and was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Rae L. Wellnitz, 51, Monroe. The vehicles received minor to moderate damage.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 3:45 p.m. Friday on Samson Road in Jefferson township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Carmen J. Lawver, 18, Browntown, was turning into a driveway when the vehicle slid off the driveway and hit a fence post. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.

• No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident Friday at about 5:15 p.m. Friday on Exeter Crossing Road in New Glarus township. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Noah J. Vig, 33, Monroe, spun around due to icy road conditions, went into the ditch, hit a snow embankment and a couple of trees. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed.

• A vehicle driven by Brenda S. Holmquest, 44, Mount Horeb, collided with a deer at about 9:30 p.m. Friday on Wisconsin 69 in New Glarus township. The vehicle received moderate damage and was towed.
