Timothy A. Hammerly, age 66, of New Glarus, died on Monday, May 12, 2014 at his home. He was born on August 29, 1947 in Madison, the son of Ralph and Barbara (Milks) Hammerly.
Tim was a graduate of Monticello High School, Green County Teachers College and MATC.
Tim and Peggy Smarr were married in Wheatridge, Colorado.
Tim worked in surveying and computer drafting for various engineering firms.
Tim was a member of Washington Reformation United Church of Christ, past president of Green Co. Conservation League, New Glarus Cub Scout Master, past president of Madison British Car Clubs, and active in the International Crane Foundation, and Prairie Enthusiasts.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy of New Glarus, sons, Robert (Judith) Hammerly of Fitchburg, Peter Hammerly of New Glarus, daughter, Mackenzie (Ian) Miller of Sun Prairie, sisters, Heidi Waddell of Verona, Faye (Larry) Howe of Florida and 6 grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Rick.
Celebration of Life will be Friday, May 16, 2014 at Washington Reformation United Church of Christ N6026 Church Road Monticello, WI, at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Mary Gafner officiating.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 15th from 5:30 to 7:30 P.M. at the church.
