Thomas L. Davis, age 63 of Monroe, died unexpectedly on Friday, December 11, 2015 at the Monroe Clinic Hospital. Tom was born November 15, 1952 in Monroe, the son of Dale and Kathleen (Kurtz) Davis. He graduated from Argyle High School in 1973. Over the years, Tom worked at various odd jobs in Monroe including Marty Ripp Chevrolet and Baumgartners. He could often be seen walking the streets of town with his head phones tuned to country music. He loved spending time at the corner café enjoying coffee and a cinnamon roll.
He is survived by his parents, Dale and Kathleen Davis of Juda; three brothers, Dan (Judy) Davis of Rockton, Il, Scott (Kristi) Davis, and Bill (Traci) Davis, all of Juda; two sisters, Penny (Cruz) Ramos of Juda, and Mary Legler (Anthony Antonio) of Stoughton; and eleven nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at 11:00 a.m., at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, with Reverend Vicki Brantmeyer officiating. Inurnment will be in Oakley Union Church Cemetery followed by a luncheon at the Oakley Union Church. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services.
