Shirley Mae Montanye, 66 of Monroe passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at The Monroe Clinic Hospital, surrounded by her family. Shirley was born on April 24, 1950 to Vernon "Bud" and Kathryn (Moss) Lincicum in Freeport. She had been married to Donald Montanye and together they had two sons.

Shirley was a graduate of the Blackhawk High School. Shirley retired from RR Donnelly, formerly Moores, after 45 years. She was a hard worker all her life, so after retirement she began working at Swiss Colony. Shirley was a member of the Women of Moose Chapter #599. She will be remembered as an avid Packer fan, her talent of cooking and crocheting. Shirley always put others before herself, her love was unconditional. She thoroughly enjoyed her family, her grandchildren were her greatest passion in life.

Shirley is survived by her sons, Travis (Loni) Montanye of Madison and Brian (Andrea) Montanye of Monroe; grandchildren, Briza, Andrew, Alicia, Aiden, and Lamont; siblings, Paul (Sandy) Lincicum, Kathy (Alan) Leitzen, Dennis (Connie) Lincicum, Walter (Connie) Lincicum, and Laurie (Wayne) Rose; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Sharon (Keith "Nip") Sutter; grandson, Ethan; and nephew, Michael Leitzen.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, December 30, 2016 at the SHRINER HAGER GOHLKE Funeral Home with Chaplain Linda O'Leary officiating. Burial will follow services at the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Freeport. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2016 from 4:00-7:00pm at the funeral home. The Women of the Moose will have a service of remembrance on Thursday at 7:00pm.
