Sharon Drews, 66, of Monroe passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2017 at her home. She was born the daughter of Walter and Isabelle (Dreibelbis) Drews on August 25, 1950. Sharon was a graduate of Monroe High School, and attended Black Hawk Technical College. She worked at Pleasant Company in Madison for 10 years, then she worked at Swiss Colony for about 30 years, retiring in 2015. She was a long time member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Monroe, and very active in the church; she was active with Green County Humane Society, and was a volunteer at the hospital with her Therapy dog, Gracie. She was a member of International Therapy Dog Assoc.; she loved gardening, flowers, being outside and walking her dog.
She is survived by her sister, Carol (Dwayne) Robieson of Lena, IL and brother, Robert (Joyce) Drews of Monroe; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, John Drews; sister, Dorothy Gruenberg; and nephew, Daniel Drews.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, July 6, 2017 at St. John's United Church of Christ, with Rev. Kathleen Rinear officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held Thursday from 9:00 am until the time of service, at the church. Memorials may be given in Sharon's name to the Green County Humane Society.
