Scott Diffenderfer, 42, of McConnell passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer. Scott was born on October 3, 1970 in Freeport to Richard and Mary Ann (Garnhart) Diffenderfer. Scott married Cara Price on August 1, 1997 at the McConnell United Methodist Church. He graduated from Orangeville High School in 1989 and was employed by Statz and Harrop Construction for 15 years.

Scott loved sports of all kinds; he especially loved watching his daughters tumble; play basketball, volleyball, and softball. He was an avid hunter, golfer and member of Orangeville Brush Creek Golf Course. On November 30, 2012 Scott was presented with the Orangeville Biggest Bronco Fan Award. He was also a member of the McConnell United Methodist Church.

Scott is survived by his wife, Cara; daughters, Carlie, Emily, Hanna and Mia and special family friend, Carly Stites. Parents Richard and Mary Ann Diffenderfer of Winslow; sisters, Rhonda (Jim) Wessels of McConnell; Tammy (Steve) Webster of Dakota; brothers, Mark (Kathy) Diffenderfer of McConnell; and Todd (Jodi) Diffenderfer of McConnell. Father and mother-in-law Wayne and Lou Price of Orangeville, brother-in-law, Cory (Zoey) Price of Newport Beach, CA; great grandmother, Royletta Price of Lena. Special cousin, Darin Diffenderfer and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held, Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 10:00 am at the Orangeville High School with Pastor Doug Carroll officiating. Burial will be at Silent Hill Cemetery, McConnell.

Visitation will be Friday, December 14, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Orangeville United Methodist Church.

Scott's wishes were for a very casual visitation and funeral. Please wear your school colors or favorite sports attire.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in his name.
